With 40 years experience at Downie Stewart, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise when assisting clients to resolve perplexing legal issues.  A strong “people person", he has a large range of personal and corporate connections and is adept at working with other professionals to best meet your specific needs.  Paul currently specialises in business transactions, corporate structuring and manages a large number of family trusts.

Paul has a large business client base and resolves complex legal issues with both professional acumen and pragmatism.

Paul is passionate about community involvement and is currently :

• Honorary Solicitor of the Otago Settlers Association

• Trustee and Secretary of the Otago Southland Diabetes Trust

• Chairperson of St Clair Golf Club

• Major Association Commissioner of NZ Cricket

• Legal Advisor to Football Otago Youth Academy Trust

A fervent fanatic of all things sporting, Paul spends leisure time playing golf at St Clair Golf Club, having previously played rugby, tennis and until very recently football at Roslyn Wakari. He is now cheering his young grandchildren from the sideline playing ripper rugby and supporting their other pursuits outside sport.
