Ella is an Associate at Downie Stewart, specialising in Relationship Property and Employment law.

Her expertise spans from drafting and advising on employment agreements and relationship property agreements, to representing clients at mediations, the Employment Relations Authority and Family Court proceedings. Ella also represents clients in estate disputes and matters under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988.

After graduating from the University of Otago in 2017, Ella began her career at a boutique environmental law firm in Christchurch before returning to Dunedin to join Community Law Otago. While Ella found her place at Downie Stewart lawyers in 2022, she still volunteers at Community Law Otago.

Outside of her legal endeavours, Ella enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dog, Quinn.

With her dedication and ability to provide practica advice to clients, Ella is an invaluable asset to our firm.
