Colleen Bain.
Colleen joined Downie Stewart after a diverse career across both the legal profession and commercial project roles in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Before studying law, Colleen worked in a range of roles including hospitality, office administration, and business improvement and IT projects throughout New Zealand as well as in the UK and Australia with organisations ranging from small businesses, franchised organisations through to large multinationals.
Colleen later returned to university to study law while balancing sole parenting. Following graduation, she began her legal career with a boutique IT law firm in Auckland before moving into a general commercial role in Tauranga. Her experience has primarily been in commercial law, privacy and incorporated societies, and she now assists across a broader range of matters including commercial and property work.
Colleen enjoys helping clients understand complex legal issues and ensuring they feel confident about their rights and obligations.
Outside of work, Colleen enjoys swimming and yoga.
